*CANCELLED* Holliston Democratic Town Caucus

Updated 3/11/20= Due to the state of emergency in Massachusetts, the Holliston Democratic Town Caucus is cancelled. Information on a new date is not yet available.

 The 2020 Holliston Democratic Town Caucus will be held on Saturday, March 14 at Holliston Town Hall in the Select board's meeting room. Doors will open at 9:30 and close at 10:15 for voting.

• What is the purpose of the 2020 caucus?
• Democrats from Holliston (and across the Commonwealth) will elect delegates and alternates to the 2020 Democratic State Convention, where these delegates will cast a vote for their preferred Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate. 
• The 2020 Mass State Democratic Convention will be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, 300 Arcand Drive, on Saturday, May 30th.
• This is an important event because candidates must receive 15% of the vote to appear on the September primary ballot and the candidate who receives a majority of the convention’s vote will receive the endorsement of the convention.
• This is YOUR opportunity to have your voice heard! If you are a registered Democrat and you want to have a direct influence in the Senate race, please come to the Caucus!
• ANY registered Democrat who lives in Holliston is eligible to be elected as a delegate. You do NOT have to be a member of the Democratic Town Committee.

• Public is welcome, but only Holliston registered or pre-registered Democrats can participate in voting.

The State Department is about to recklessly allow a company to post its gun blueprints online for anyone to download. That means people like terrorists, convicted felons, and domestic abusers will be able to print functional guns out of plastic that won't be detected by metal detectors. We only have UNTIL FRIDAY to STOP THIS:  SEND YOUR MESSAGE: Demand that the State Department STOP the distribution of downloadable guns! >> At the end of the week, anyone with a regular internet connection and access to a 3D printer will be legally allowed to make their own illegal and untraceable guns. That means anyone can download these files and print a functional, untraceable gun! Send a message to the State Department demanding they stop this from becoming our new reality. I really can't overstate just how dangerous this will be: People who can't pass a background check, including terrorists, felons, and domestic abusers will be able to print their own functional guns. Many of these guns can be printed entirely in plastic, so metal detectors won't detect them — putting our planes, music festivals, and government buildings in danger. Law enforcement will not be able to trace any plastic guns recovered at crime scenes — stalling their criminal investigations before they even start. There's no time to waste: We have until FRIDAY to demand the State Department protect our communities and STOP the distribution of downloadable guns, so we need you to TAKE ACTION NOW! These do-it-yourself downloadable guns are incredibly dangerous, and the State Department's appalling decision to allow a company to post its gun blueprints online can completely unravel the work we've done to create a safer America free from gun violence.
