State Rep. James Arena-DeRosa
Listening Session on Energy Affordability
State Rep James Arena-DeRosa will hold a listening session on energy affordability/transition to cleaner energy and H. 4744. The event will take place Saturday, January 3, at 10 AM in the Gilman Room of the Holliston Public Library. Register to attend and to speak on a particular aspect of this issue.
Massachusetts House Bill 4744 ("An Act relative to energy affordability, clean power and economic competitiveness") has been the subject of controversy and is referred to by opponents as the "Climate Rollback Bill" due to provisions that would weaken the state's climate goals. After strong public opposition, the bill was delayed by the House Ways and Means Committee in November 2025, and it is currently under review in that committee.
